Our Vineyards
According to one version of mythology, the god of wine, Dionysus, was born in the region of Central Greece and specifically in Thebes, which means that the epicenter of our country's wine production has its roots in Thebes.
Tripio Lithari is a carved rock in the Paliabelo area of Fikio mountain. It is a canal, dug into the stone at least 200 years ago and was used by the monks-winegrowers of the area to press the grapes and transfer the must from the vineyard, with a natural flow, to the cellar.
The monks had identified that in this place, the grapes ripened better and gave better wines.
This area was chosen to establish the vineyard of Terra Thiva winery.
Our privately owned vineyards of 170 acres are located at the foot of Fikio mountain. The fine Greek varieties Assyrtiko, Malagousia, the international variety Sauvignon Blanc and the unique and indigenous red grape Mouhtaro, as well as the top world class red varieties Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, are cultivated with dedication and passion.
